Giving Tuesday 2021: Your Way to Protect Old-Growth Forests

What will be your impact?

Each year, the Tuesday following Thanksgiving marks a “global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity” by encouraging people from around the world to give generously to nonprofit organizations. We all know about Black Friday and can probably conjure up intense scenes in our heads of crowds rushing into stores to purchase heavily discounted items, but perhaps it’s time for a new tradition? Giving Tuesday can be just that: a fresh start.

This year for Giving Tuesday, which falls on November 30th, the Old-Growth Forest Network is dreaming big! 2022 marks our 10 Year Anniversary and we want to celebrate both our past accomplishments as well as share our roadmap for the next ten years. We want to take time during this season of giving to raise funds to help achieve our monumental goals for 2022 and beyond. We’re asking our community of forest lovers to help us raise $10,000 in honor of our 10 Year Anniversary. Thanks to the extreme generosity of a few donors, we’re already starting off Giving Tuesday ahead!

To date, we have received $5,500 in pledged donations, and all we’re missing is you! Please take a few moments to consider donating to the future of the forests you love so dearly and to defend these ecosystems that are so crucially important to protect. Does this sound like you? Check out a few ways you can get involved below!

  •  Donate to the Old-Growth Forest Network- either specifically on Giving Tuesday to help us reach our $10,000 goal, or anytime you want!

  • Consider sharing our Giving Tuesday goal on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or any other social media platform. If sharing on Facebook, please consider setting up a fundraiser to help amplify your impact. Follow the link for instructions: https://www.facebook.com/help/990087377765844

  • Tell your friends, family, coworkers, baristas, neighbors, bankers, and everyone in between about how important OGFN’s mission is. We are building not only a network of forests but also an alliance of people who care about forests!

Most importantly, the team at the Old-Growth Forest Network would like to offer our thanks and appreciation to this wonderful community. Every single day this community shows up in real and meaningful ways to affect positive change, both on a local and on a national level. You are the real forest hero, and we can’t thank you enough.
