Edward F. Hutchins Nature Preserve - Highbanks Metro Park
The nature preserve is 206 acres and contains a mix of old-growth and younger (50 year old) trees consisting predominantly of oak, maple, and hickory. The park is also significant in that is contains a 1,000 year old Native American earthworks by the Late Woodland native people. It is a National Historic Landmark.
