Bushy Run Battlefield
NOTICE 7/2/2024: Closures possible due to recent storm damage. Please contact the park visitor's office before planning your visit.
The forested areas of the park are approximately 140 acres of mixed deciduous forest. Some knowledgeable volunteers estimate the oldest trees to be between 170 and 210 years old. Some volunteers suggest that some of the trees may be as old as 260 years. These trees are not far from the main loop of the park trails (“Edge Hill Trail”).
The forest has a great mix of native trees, plants, fungi, and fauna. The trail system was created in a way to ebb and flow with the landscape and natural boundaries around it.
