Ridley Creek State Park
Ridley Creek State Park is a 2,606-acre Pennsylvania state park in Delaware County. Large American beech, black gum, black walnut, pignut, mockernut, and shagbark and shellbark hickory grow throughout the old-growth segments of the park. Undulating terrain with a rich understory give a feeling of seclusion, despite the forest's proximity to downtown Philadelphia. Several of the trees hold the state park and state records for height.
A series of hiking trails permeate the old and mature forest areas. The white trail will give visitors the best access to the old-growth areas.
